Maasmechelen Village | België, een waar toeristisch juweel van Europa

Op donderdag 22 mei 2025 vindt in Maasmechelen Village de derde editie van de Tourism Conference plaats, een inspirerende ochtend voor professionals uit de toerisme-, hospitality- en reissector. Het evenement belicht de nieuwste trends in het Belgische toerisme, met sterke nadruk op samenwerking, innovatie en toekomstgerichte visies.

Onder het thema "België, de verrassende toeristische bestemming van Europa" wordt het groeiende potentieel van het land als toeristische trekpleister onderzocht. Met haar rijke erfgoed, verfijnde gastronomie en unieke culturele en natuurlijke belevingen spreekt België een steeds internationaler publiek aan.

Het programma behandelt essentiële uitdagingen zoals duurzaamheid, mobiliteit, gastvrijheid en lokale belevingen. Ook worden nieuwe perspectieven aangereikt door een reeks invloedrijke stemmen uit de sector:

Ana Rovzar, moderatrice van de dag, is internationaal actief op het snijvlak van duurzaamheid en innovatie. Ludivine Destrée vertegenwoordigt de European Travel Commission. Tania Ter-Ossepiantz van Brussels Airport deelt haar expertise in luchtvaartmarketing. Laura Olaerts, gedeputeerde voor Toerisme in Limburg, belicht het beleid en de toekomstvisie op regionaal vlak. Tot slot zal Creneau International, toonaangevend designbureau in horeca-ervaringen, inzicht geven in belevingsgerichte hospitality-concepten.

De conferentie vindt plaats in het Terhills Conference Center, vlak bij Maasmechelen Village. Na het inhoudelijke programma volgt een netwerklunch in restaurant Cho Gao, waarna de deelnemers de dag kunnen afsluiten met een exclusieve shopervaring.
